He is survived by: his sister Pamela Hesterly (Jeff); his nephews, Jonathan and Christopher Katje (Lora); his great-nephews, Harrison, Emmett and Isaiah Katje; his uncle John Ellis (Joan); his cousin Vincent Ellis; and his close friends, Van, Rachel and Faith Stauffer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Guiding Light Missions and Mel Trotter Ministries, both organizations located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
