She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Mahar and Nellie Mahar (Moyer); her former husband Walter Joppie; her significant other Douglas Mishler; and her siblings, Robert, Bernard, Thomas Mahar and Martha Stamm.
She is survived by: her brother Joseph Ingerson-Mahar (Susan) of Alloway, NJ; and her children, Carol VanEck (Rich) of Hillsdale, Denise Tormanen (Dennis) of Shingleton, Cynthia Smith (Gilbert) of Wayland and Walter Joppie II of San Antonio. She is also survived by Five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
