He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond A. Melendy (Myrtle Melendy) and Glenadene Melendy; his brother Douglas R. Melendy; and his niece Denise Janutolo. He is survived by: his wife MaryMartha Potts; his daughter Michelle Lahti (Christian); his grandchildren, Benjamin Lahti (Angela), Samuel Lahti (Brianna Kramer), Joshua Lahti and Olivia Lahti; his sister Karen; and his siblings-in-law, Albert Janutolo and Ethel Melendy. He is also survived by five nieces, four nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of FPC (for support of Christian Education), the Hastings Athletic Boosters, or the Hastings Lions Club.
