He is survived by: his wife Joann Bailey; his son Larry Bailey (Amy); his grandchildren, Grayson and Linden; his son James Uptgraft; his grandchildren, Sarah, Maryann, Skyler and Hunter; his great grandchild Kimberly Matthews (Kevin); his grandchildren, Kaila, Jessica and Troy; his mother Betty Newberry; and his sister Shirley August (Rick). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thornapple Valley Church - Hastings (2750 N M 43 Hwy, Hastings, MI 49058).
