He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Cutis James; his parents-in-law, Denny and Betty Chase; and his siblings-in-law, Vern DeWitt and Teri DeWitt.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara Jean Crummel (Russell); his wife Thelma Marie James (Moore); his children, Kristy McKay (Paul) and Matthew Vincent (Leah); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cabral, Kelsea McKay, Peyton and Jensen Vincent; his sister Terry Harvath-James; his siblings-in-law, Steve DeWitt, Shari DeWitt and Karen Andres; his close friends, Derrick Bond and John Spidle; and his pets, Buddy, Bobo, Harlow and John Wayne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thornapple Valley Church (2750 M-43, Hastings, MI 49058).
