It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Vernon Burkholder (Hastings, Michigan), born in Pedricktown, New Jersey, who passed away on May 9, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Burkholder and Ruth Burkholder (King); his wife Barbara Burkholder (Shannon); his siblings-in-law, Joan Burkholder and William Morgan; and his great grandchild Christopher Hawthorne.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Shannon; his children, Nancy Bradley (Bill) of Hastings and Robin Hawthorne (Martin) of Hastings; his grandchildren, Tami Kyle (Lee), Shawn Hawthorne (Jan), Chris Hawthorne (Kikki), Matt Bradley (Beth), Shannon Ewert (Chris) and Erin Lepper (Steve); and his sister Jean Morgan (William).
