He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Margaret Surratt (Mundy); his brother Stephen Carll Surratt; his father Stanley Charles Surratt; and his father-in-law Oliver Burton Walters. He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas Corbit and Charles Oliver; his wife Kathy Ann Walters; his siblings, Stanley (Chris) of Washington Township, Bill (LouAnn) and Sylva Cohen (Gordon) of Highland Village; his mother-in-law Norma Walters of Coldwater; and his sister-in-law Cindy Lochamire (Chris) of Hudson, Indiana.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hand 2 Hand care of First Presbyterian Church of Hastings.
