He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Haines and Phyllis Haines; his father-in-law Gordon Barlow; and his sister-in-law Katherine Haines. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Tim; his wife Diane Haines; his children, Sarah Hofmann (Michael), Michelle Krebs and Brandon Haines (Kim Tebo); his grandchildren, Molly Krebs and Sebastian Hofmann; his brothers, William, Brad, Mark and Peter Haines; and his mother-in-law Jane Barlow. He is also survived by five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and his 15 nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the graveside service's open environment may be a better option for those who wish to say their goodbyes.
