James Russell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Russell of Hastings, Michigan, who passed away on December 7, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard VanderVeen and Jean VanderVeen (DeHaan); and his father-in-law Merle Utter. He is survived by: his wife Ruth VanderVeen (Utter) of Hastings; his children, Tim VanderVeen (Sarah) of Kentwood, Nicole Sala (Josh) of Caledonia and Andrew VanderVeen (Holly) of Marne; his grandchildren, Kylie VanderVeen, Brady VanderVeen, Jonah Sala, Silas VanderVeen and Abraham VanderVeen; and his sisters, Patricia VanTol (Tom), Judy Duckworth (Bob) and Pamela Wilson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
