He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Joseph McGinley, Sr. and Marion Florence Miller; his sister Sandy Predmore; and his son-in-law Randy Lee Coenen. He is survived by: his wife Ida McGinley; his children, Tammy Wilde (Lowell), Debra Coenen, Linda McGinley and David McGinley (Mary); and his grandchildren, Amber Willard (Brandon), Patrick Wilde, Katie Coenen (Elliott) and Joshua Coenen (Jessica).
