He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Mable (Johns); his son-in-law James Rush; and his siblings, Raymond Wilson, Charles Wilson and Rosabelle Bush (Wardell).

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Connie Rush, Deborah Wilson and Ronald Wilson; and his grandson Michael Cole.
