With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Jean Carey of Hastings, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty Jean left this world on July 18, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter B. Cole and Myrtie Cole (Diamond); her husband Roger D. Carey of Lake Odessa; her grandson Anthony M. Carey; and her siblings, William Cole, Bernita Carpenter, Gertrude Hitchcock and Elnora Bechwith.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Jr. Carey (Margaret), Mickey Carey (Barb), Caryl Hampel (Scott) and David Carey. She is also survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Alissa Leonard Artvia for missionary work.
