Joseph Earl Skarritt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 69, Joseph Earl Skarritt of Hartland, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Earl and Velda D. Skarritt (Koths). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy'Dot' Skarritt (Johnson); his children, Kelly Williams (Chris), Shannon VanDenBerge (Phillip), Joe Stocker and Samantha Skarritt (Justin Neuwirth); his grandchildren, Selina Rahall, McKinley Williams, Cecelia Williams, Caleb Neuwirth, Peter VanDenBerge and Erin VanDenBerge; and his siblings, Diane Schaap (Larry) and Kyle Caswell (Jack). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home (404 E Liberty St, Milford Charter Twp, MI 48381).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Howell Nature Center, 1005 Triangle Lake Road, Howell, MI 48843 or the National Park Foundation, 1500 K Street NW, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20005.
