He was predeceased by: his mother Janet Morris. He is survived by: his former wife Sandy Taylor of Hartford; his children, Ashley Spangler of Alabama, Brandi Spangler of Bangor, Amy Spangler of Hartford and Thomas Spangler Jr. of Covert; his grandchildren, Anthony, Alissa, Zoie, Ryann, Dalton, Ethan, Bentley, Noah, Aaron, Sadie, Skyy, Thomas and River; his stepfather Jimmy Chambers; and his siblings, Richard Andrews (Mickie) of Hartford, Timothy Andrews of Coldwater, Mich. and Alice Cantrell of Florida. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thomas' name may be made to the family.
