He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Freehling and Doris Freehling (Schlutt). He is survived by: his sister Hope Sinner (Jeff); his wife Rebecca; his daughters, April and Olivia; his granddaughter Calista; and his brother-in-law Marc Hettig (Denise). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
