He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kelly; his sons, Charlie Carter (Jennie) of Grant and Andy Carter (Betty) of Hart; his grandchildren, Colleen Carter of Grant, Joe Carter (Kelly) of Falmouth, Kenton Carter (Wendy) of Lake Ann, Andrew and Brooklyn Carter of Hart; his great grandchildren, Allie, Olivia, Wesley, Emory, Austin and Remi Carter; his sister Kay Hayward (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Kasankiewicz and Tom Kelly (Connie). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
