He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kleeves and Katherine Kleeves (Kort); and his siblings, Esther Field, Ronald Kleeves and John Kleeves.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kleeves; his daughters, Michelle Lakatos (Dennis) and Sandra Lahnala (David); his stepsons, Bradley Altland (Mia) and Gregory Altland (Colleen); his grandchildren, Evan Lakatos, Kaitlyn Hecksel (Michael), Megann Moore (Steve), Mark Lahnala (Kelly), Ali Altland, Robbie Altland, Emmett Altland and Rachel Altland; and his great grandchildren, Mark Hecksel, Annabelle Hecksel, Sawyer Hecksel and Charlotte Lahnala.
He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Fruitport Fire Department for over 30 years, and donated 17 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross.
