He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd R. Simpson and Janna Simpson (Mol); his wife Helen Iarvella; and his siblings, Robert, Eugene, Charles Simpson, Karen Holmes and Janice Shea.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Looman (Mark), Kenneth Simpson (Linda), Ronald Simpson (Sandra), Barb McCormick and Bill Burden (Linda); his grandchildren, Rhonda Leonard, Amy Douglass (Mark), Kenneth Simpson, Hollie Hunt (Shawn), Ron Simpson, Harry Simpson, Sandra Simpson, Amanda Burden-Nazareno (Edward), John Burden (Jillian), Jeff VanDer Berg and Jason VanDer Berg (Michele); and his sister-in-law Kathy Simpson. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
It is anticipated that a memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Hart after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
