He is survived by: his mother Pamela Kauranen (Beardsley) of Metamora; his daughter Melissa Kauranen (Missy) of Lapeer; his grandson Jax Thompson of Lapeer; and his siblings, Kelly Bidwell (Chuck) and Todd Kauranen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
