He was predeceased by: his son David Richard Shoemaker; and his parents, Edward Shoemaker and Ellen Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Shoemaker; his son Ralph Shoemaker of Avon Park; his grandchildren, Adriana and Shantan; his great grandchildren, Madison, Anthony and Jensen; and his siblings, Dale Shoemaker (June) of Bridgewater and Diane Shoemaker.
