He was predeceased by: his parents, John Betot and Marion Betot (Graul); his wife Elaine Betot; and his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by: his children, Michael Betot (Kristina Mielke) of Huntsville, AL and Michelle June (Dan) of Clarkston, MI; his grandchildren, Allyson Betot, Ryan Root (Betot), Hunter Travis, Taylor Travis, Dr. Jennifer Mielke, Chad Mielke, Miranda Yancy, Milynda Fuson (Jacob) and Matthew Miller; his great grandchildren, Carol Elaine "Lainey" Betot and Abigail Mae Fuson; his sister Lois Sylvester (Rolland) of LaGrange, GA; and his close friend Nancy Buzzell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
