He was predeceased by: his spouse Doris; and his child Julianne. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Laperriere, III and James Laperriere (Jessica); his grandchildren, Ashley (Michael), Melanie (Sean), James, Julianna, Joseph and Jocelyn; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Andew and Bentley.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
