She was predeceased by: her parents, John Charles Gamble and Agnes Gamble (Bearden); her daughter Marsha Johnston; her grandson Steven Rucker; and her siblings, Gertrude McCarty, Edith Kuehn, John Gamble, James Gamble, Francis Gamble and Leo Gamble.
She is survived by: her husband William James McPherson; and her children, Joan A. Brown (Daniel) of Lake, Debra Rix (William) of Houghton Lake, Lois Stark of Port Huron, Donald McPherson of Marysville and Jeff McPherson (Tammie) of Kimball. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family.
