She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Xavier Gerstbrei and Sophia Gerstbrei; her husband James Buchman; her children, Ken Buchman (Peggy), Ronald Buchman and Laura Martin; her son-in-law Roy Martin (Mary Lou); her grandchildren, Darren Martin (Nicole), Jason Martin, Stephanie Martin, Rebecca Buchman, Randall Buchman (Tiana), Steven Buchman (Amanda) and Eric Buchman (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sebastian, Sophie and Adalynn; and her sister Marilyn Wilkens (Ray).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
