He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rickert and Elsbeth Ratzow Rickert; and his siblings, Mary Stuecher, JoAnne Gladstone, Beth Rickert and Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Brian Rickert (Kathy), Gregg Rickert, Tammy Landrum (Tom) and Peggy Scherer (Bruce); his grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy (Jennifer), Andrew (Kerri), Andrea (Steve), Matthew and Anna (Philip); and his great grandchildren, Madalynn, Abigail, Brianna, Aiden, Logan and Ethan.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Inc. (140 S Main St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Clinton Grove Cemetery (21189 Cass Ave, Clinton Twp, MI 48036).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be addressed to Salvation Army.
