He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Cornwell and Reina Cornwell (Toutant); and his stepmother Irene Cornwell. He is survived by: his pet Boo Boo; his wife Huiyi Chen-Cornwell; his children, Stephanie Cornwell, Christopher Cornwell and Lisa Cornwell; his stepchildren, Yi Zhong (Zhipeng Xie), Michael Noll and Eric Noll; and his grandson Hunter Cornwell.
