He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Louis and Mary Elizabeth Knapp (Gallaher); and his siblings, Edwin, Joel, James and Thomas Knapp.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta F. Knapp (Shapiro); his son John Anthony Knapp II; his stepchildren, Sandra Seader (Jeff) and Betsi VanFossen (Brian); his stepgrandchildren, Aron, Leelen and Emily; and his siblings, Louis, Mary Lou, Margaret, Michael, Julie and Anne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org/donatetoday, as a testament to John's lifelong commitment to helping others.
