He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Genevieve; his spouse Theola; his daughter Laura Martin; and his siblings, Edward, Ralph, Germain, Alton, Carol, Howard, Tom and Jack.

He is survived by: his sons, Ken Buchman (Peggy) and Ronald Buchman; his son-in-law Roy Martin (Mary Lou); his grandchildren, Darren Martin (Nicole), Jason Martin, Stephanie Martin, Rebecca Buchman, Randall Buchman (Tiana), Steven Buchman (Amanda) and Eric Buchman (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sebastian, Sophie and Adalynn; and his sister Jeanette Schneller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
