She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Sparks; her son David Sparks; her parents, Eula James (Wyatt) and Charles James; her brother Charles James; and her sister-in-law Patricia James.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Sparks (Femi) and Susan Lukan (Paul); her grandchildren, Keith Sparks (Alaina), Lindsey Cassidy, Lauren Rademacher (Matthew), Kevin Sparks, Lisa Cassidy, Heather Sparks and Kimberly Sparks; her brother Frank James; and her daughter-in-law Denise Sparks. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
