Leonard J. Erickson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard J. Erickson in Harris, Michigan, born in Bark River, Michigan, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Algot Erickson and Ruth Erickson (Peterson); his wife Donna; his sister Julanne LeBoeuf; and his grandson Chad Wenick.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Portfleet (Tim) of Pinehurst, NC, Bryan Erickson (Tina) of Harris, MI, Mary Beth Frost (Paul) of Superior, WI, Janice Jacobson (Greg) of Watertown, TN, Steven Erickson (Nicole) of Burlington, WI and Kristi Harrington (Jim) of Ortonville, MI; his grandchildren, Jordan Portfleet (Melissa), Danielle Portfleet, Alicia Benson (Rob), Mitchell Frost (Christina), Dominic Frost (Helena), John Michael Wenick (Cheyenne), Kristen Meyers (Shane), Christina Wenick (Maggie Diges) of Cody Wenick, AJ, Tyler Erickson (Jennifer), Ben Erickson, Gabe Erickson, Ann Marie Erickson, Ashley Waterhouse (Andrew), Jonathon Harrington (Liz) and Rylie Harrington; and his sister Evelyn Gagne. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford River Community Chapel (3103 M-35, Bark River, MI 49807). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
