She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fortelka and Marie Fortelka (Jurik); her husband Willard L. Evens; her siblings, Paul Fortelka, Betty Porter and Carl Fortelka (Betty); and her daughter-in-law Angela Long.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Long (Sherri) of Mesick, Deborah Stanton (Phil) of Mesick, Brenda Thornton (Ed) of Fostoria and Lisa Schiller (Jeff) of Thompsonville; and her siblings-in-law, Elaine Fortelka of Cadillac and Leo Porter of Harrietta. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Manistee Victorian Quilters Guild or the Harrietta Quilt Club.
