He was predeceased by: his parents, August Benz and Theresa Benz. He is survived by: his wife Donna Benz (McNett); and his children, Joseph Benz Jr., Charles Benz (Kimberly), Rex Benz (Peggy), Donald Benz (Cathy) and Shelly Ruberg (Doug). He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
