He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Watson and Thomas Watson of Birmingham; and his sister Emily. He is survived by: his sister Susan Karlson (Mike) of Scottsdale, Arizona.; his wife Sue Cooper Watson; his children, Thomas C. Watson (Kyoko), Richard W. Watson (Eartha), Katherine E. Watson and Christopher J. Watson; his grandchildren, Seiwa Alexander Watson, Mako Amy Watson, Miya Alicia Watson, Raegan Anne Watson and Andrew John Watson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kurai-Jade, Kairos, Zakai, Leylani and Dylon; and also, Melissa Richards (Omar) and David Roy Cox.
