She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Martinus Hoek and Wilhelmina Van Der Hoek; her children, Sue and Bill; her husband Bill; her granddaughter Elizabeth Van Berlo; her children, Peter Van Berlo (Barbara) of Acme, MI., Martie Van Berlo (Cindy) of Harbor Springs, MI., Joanne Rowden (Gary) of Ohio and Suzanne Montgomery (Bill) of Etowah, NC.; her grandchildren, Adam Van Berlo, Alicia Huwyler (Jason), Nicholas Van Berlo (Terra), Kaitlin Hahn (Rob), Molly Evans (Jarrod), Heather Kanitz (Mark), Jacob Montgomery (Chelsey), Ben Montgomery (Lauren) and Joshua Montgomery; her great grandchildren, Eden Van Berlo, Ashlyn, Aryanna, Alexandria Huwyler, Zoey Hahn, Maia Evans, Gabriel Kanitz, Asher, Levi Montgomery and Lily Montgomery; her siblings, Tiny Vandekerkhof of Clinton Twp, Jan and Frits Van Der Hoek; her sister-in-law Martina Willems of St. Clair Shores, MI.; and her brother Wim Van Der Hoek.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to support St. Michael's High School of Petoskey or the Van Andel Institute for Bio Medical Research, dedicated to research to lessen the physical and emotional effects of a several diseases including dementia.
