She was predeceased by: her son Jamie Janes; and her grandparents, Ivyl, Leitha Janes, John and Suzanne Veldhuizen.
She is survived by: her children, Jessica Backus (Brandon) and Nate Gregorich (Rena); her grandchildren, Joseph, Karson and Lily; her parents, Lanny Janes and Vivian Janes; her sisters, Michelle Janes, Melissa Puzio (Frank) and Marjorie Kirkpatrick (Mike); and her nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Christina, Dustin, Anna, Annmarie, Joe, John and Casey.
Memorial donations can be directed to Gift of Life Michigan or to Melissa Puzio for setting up an education fund for Monica's grandson.
