She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Howse and Gertrude Howse (Chuddoba); her son Wade Swiss; her brother Arnold Howse (Joanne); and her stepgreat-grandchild Hayle Steinmeyer.

She is survived by: her husband Gerry Swiss of Harbor Springs; her children, Monica Steinmeyer (Charles) of Rockford, MI and Brett Swiss (Carmen) of Harbor Springs; her grandchildren, Jessica Saxton (Eric), Joshua Swiss (Amanda), Tyler Swiss (Christine), Megan Best (David) and David Steinmeyer (Alexandra); her stepgrandsons, Karl Steinmeyer (Lurae) and Cory Steinmeyer; and her sister Karlene Marsh (Dennis). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
