He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bishop and Ila Bishop; his brother Ed Bishop; his wives, Vivian Bishop and Ellie Bishop; his daughter Connie Bishop; his stepson Rex Leland; and his grandchildren, Andy Tower and Delaney May.
He is survived by: his sister Sue Kerjes; his children, Sally (David Gallagher), Julie Bishop, Dave (Amanda Bishop), Jim (Carol Tower) and Dawn Fabian; and his grandchildren, Joe, Jamie May, Jason, Sarah May, Matt, Kensey May, Carissa, Josh VanDuinen, Nick Bishop, Dulcie Bejarano, Samantha Bishop and Chandler Bishop.
Fred requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ionia VFW Post 12082, 1131 E. Tuttle Road, Ionia, MI 48846.
