With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Schlappi of Harbor Springs, Michigan, born in Petoskey, Michigan, who passed away on August 9, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Schlappi and Lula Schlappi (Hickman); and his siblings, Robert, Forrest "Dick", Charles and Ethel Knepp.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Fisher; his children, John Schlappi (Tonya Kruger) of Levering, Andrea Schlappi of Harbor Springs and Jeffrey Schlappi of Harbor Springs; his grandchildren, Douglas (Dennis Nixon), Tyler Bellmer, Trisha (Minnie Nixon), Chance, MacKenzee and Brinlinn (Owen Schlappi); his sisters, Virginia Beair (Robert) and Rosetta Stanley (Joel); and his pet Jack.
