It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Shubitowski of Harbor Beach, Michigan, born in Ruth, Michigan, who passed away on August 13, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Downey and Antonia Downey (Clor); her daughters, Carol Shubitowski and Sandra Reid; her son-in-law Ron Moody; and her brothers, Michael, James, Joseph and Jerome Downey.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Messing (John) of Lexington, Rose Moody of Apex, NC, Janis Lotfalian (Mohsen) of Newburgh, IN, Paula Smith (Don) of Albion and Robert Shubitowski of Caro; her siblings, Pat Avery (Dale), Dennis Downey (Sylvia), Rose Bandelow (Pete) and Mark Downey (Jean); and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Hoffman, Rose Shubitowski and Shirley Downey. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
