He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Maitland and Frances Maitland (Pratt); his sons, Steven Maitland and Ritchie Slagle; and his siblings, Orville, Gerald Maitland and Donna Lauraine.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his children, Frances Taylor of Parma, MI, David Maitland (Becky) of Concord, MI, Doug Maitland (Pam) of Cement City, MI, Bonnie Withrow (Brent) of Rives Junction, MI, Lori Ballitch of Mansfield, OH and Cliff Slagle of Jackson, MI.; and his brothers, Kenneth Maitland (Nancy) of Horton, MI and Clarence Maitland (Martha) of Jackson, MI. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
32 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
