It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Timothy Edwin Kilpela of Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Howard Kilpela; his son Eric Kilpela; his grandson Buckley Zarda; and his brother Mark. He is survived by: his mother Lillian Kilpela (Poyhonen); his children, Jenny Mattfolk (Boone), John Kilpela, Julie Kilpela, Ron Kilpela (Becky), Sally Zarda (Richard), Matthew Kilpela (Jolena), Jill Butson (Jeremiah), Karrie Twitchell (Matt), James Kilpela, Kevin Kilpela, Thomas Kilpela, Kurt Kilpela, Seth Kilpela and Martha Kilpela; his siblings, Ozzy Kilpela (Annette), Ginny Pietila (Roger), Laura Leukuma (Hub), Danny Kilpela (Shannon), David Kilpela and Margaret Heinonen (Darwin); and his sister-in-law Christine Kilpela. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
