She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Nuranen and Elizabeth "Bessie" Nuranen (Waisanen) of Conrad Street; her daughter Teri Gilpin (late Gerald "Jerry") of Rabbit Bay; her siblings, Robert "Bert" Nuranen of Hancock, Rose Laitinen (late Albert), Ruth Kangas (late Wes), Joyce Nakkula (late Arvid), Sandra "Sandy" Ruscio, Gloria Jerabek, John, Calvin, Paul, Fred, David, James and Michael; and her husband John Wilcox. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Sara died of natural causes associated with her longtime struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
