He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Paulson and Mary Paulson (Pennanen); his son Gary Paulson; his great grandchild Jacob Manderfield; his siblings, Marvin, Gerald and Dolly; and his son-in-law Ted Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sjostrand; his granddaughter Bonnie Manderfield of South Range; his great grandchildren, Jesse Manderfield (Danielle) and Dylan Eastman; his grandchildren, Ronald Paulson of South Range, Melissa Niemi (Dan), Troy Maki (Heather) and Wendy Anderson of South Range; his great grandchildren, Sasha Anderson and Alana Sweeney (Joe); his sister Sharon Stella (Sonny) of Waukegan, Ill.; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Stone of South Range and Betty Tapani (Ralph) of South Range. He is also survived by one aunt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
