He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Agnes "Dolly" (Dorvinen); his wife Marilyn Broemer (Born); and his children, Greg (Reva), Dawn, Laura and Glen. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family requests donations to the Omega House in Houghton or to the Humane Society of the United States in lieu of flowers.
