He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Saari and John Marttila; and his son-in-law James Joseph DeCleene. He is survived by: his wife Juliana Lahnala; his sister Laila Evans; his children, Joanne Marttila Pierson (Jerome), Carol D'Alberto (Frank), Jane Gremaux, Mary Lill (Jim), Sarah DeCleene and John Marttila; his grandchildren, Joseph DeCleene, Hannah Do (Nhat), John DeCleene, Kenneth Gremaux, Raymond Gremaux and William Gremaux; and his great grandchild Jonah James Do. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
