He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Niemi and Lillian Niemi (Kero); his brother Michael; and his nephew Thomas Burge Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Phyllis Burge (Thomas) of Manistique, MI and Kenneth Niemi (Carolyn) of Atlantic Mine; his sister-in-law Susan Niemi of Hancock, Numerous; and his close friend Susan Dekeyser of Houghton. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given to the Isle Royale Boaters Association or to the charity of one's choice in memory of Raymond Niemi.
