She was predeceased by: her husband Fenton Oja; her son Steven Joyal; her parents, Edward Wirtanen and Lydia Wirtanen; her sister Myra Walman; and her daughter-in-law Trish Joyal.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Huuki (Mark Stimic), Donna Kotaniemi (Joe), Jerry Joyal, Martin Joyal (Wendy) and Lee Joyal; and her pet Beezer. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
