He is survived by: his wife Thelma Granger of Hancock; his children, Mark Korpela (Leah), Alan Korpela (Greg) of Hancock Shannon and Rhonda Korpela; his grandchildren, Fia (Piper Korpela), Austin (Ashley), Alia, Dane, Conner (Lason Bruckelmyer), Noah, Brenna (Chase Osborne), Brielle (Ruby Korpela) and Ayla (Damon Korpela); his siblings, Judy Hesterberg and Luana Kangas Linda (Roy); and his sister-in-law Jane Luusua Numerous (Mike). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
