It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Kaipio (Hancock, Michigan), who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Waisanen and Irma Waisanen (Halvari); her former husband Raymond Pelto; her spouse Thomas Kaipio; her son-in-law Scott Kopke; and her siblings, Matt, Kenneth, Marvin Waisanen, Sandra Kotajarvi and Ruth Waisanen.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Pelto, Steven Pelto (Barbara), Diane Kopke and Karen Kaipio-Codere (Brad); her grandchildren, Greta, Betsy, Sally, Sarah, Holly, Steven, Nicole, David, Maija and Mason; and her siblings, Helen Waarala (Don) and John Waisanen. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
