He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Castro; his parents, Leon Castro and Nina Castro; and his brothers, Terrance Castro and Steve Castro.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Carlson (Steven) and Amber Karttunen (Dennis); his siblings, Daniel Castro (Karen) and Patricia Deisler (Richard); his sister-in-law Pamela Castro; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Sadie, Sam and Jordy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Family Hospice at Canterbury Place, 310 Fisk St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
